 These are the mitts I sent to CIC for their Mittens for Akkol challenge.  They were made of 1 strand Lion Brand Wool with 1 strand of bulky Ecuadorean wool, from a disassembled sweater.  They're quite thick!  The sweater I mentioned has so far been made into: 2 pairs mitts, 2 pairs socks, and a matching set of hat and mitts.  I still have a fair bit of the wool to use, as the sweater was a man's extra-large.
