Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope all goes well for you and yours in the New Year.

Knitting Content: I've been reading about various people's resolutions to reduce their stash. I've been working hard on stash reduction all year, knitting mostly from stash, and only buying yarn for specific projects. I would absolutely HATE to limit myself with draconian measures like others are doing, eg., only knitting from stash for 6 or 9 months, without buying any yarn. That would be the time that a Really Great Yarn Sale would happen. However, while I have given away everything I knit this year, I find that the acrylic (OK, it's Red Heart) stash has not been reduced nearly enough! I have some great colours in the 454g size that don't feel, well, the softest, which limits their use. I hereby resolve to make a concerted effort this year to reduce the AQ (acrylic quotient) of my stash. I am confident that I can do this without joining any of the stash-alongs, although they are wonderful ideas for those who appreciate the support of a group effort.
 So, I will bust some stash, but I won't join anything official. I won't! I won't! :P
